Dumb Alternator Q
Alright, how long can a car run off just the battery, aka no alternator? Like if you cut the belt going to it, how long would it take the battery to wear down?
I just wanna know cause if i put a b18 in my car i wont have to pound out the frame rail if there's no alternator. BTW it's gonna be a straight drag car.

negative, you want full voltage, not dropping voltage

Faster dragsters do it all of the time, I think they run two batteries parrel and just put them on the charger after every run

That's what i wanted to hear, a positive view on my idea. I do have a battery charger that i could tote to the track. Two batteries would kind of defeat the idea of weight savings though.
