ok heres the situation....my B16 spun a rod-bearing and did just about total devistation. (crank, cams, head, pistons) err thing FUBAR!! i had just bought a ZEX wet kit....direct port, elecrtic bottle opener, purge blah, blah.....never got the chance to put it on my B16 before this shit went down.
so with that said i've just purchased a JDM B20B motor from password. i've stepped down in power but have taken leaps and bounds in the torque department...

of course the first thing i'm thinking is CR/VTEC......but i've got a buddy (that does most of my engine work, and no he's not the reason i spun a bearing......that's another story :mad

thats telling me i don't need to do the VTEC coversion.... he's telling me to build the bottom end and raise the compression (duh!) prep it for the bottle and have at it. now i can't remember everything he's wanting to do, but he's claiming easy 12's on the bottle.......and if that's the case......i'm cool with that. i'm kinda 50/50 on this. i guess i'm just not knowing what to expect from the B20...... i've had a JDM B16 for years......and i'm trading power for torque. should i rock the B20 on the bottle, or wait and do the CR/VTEC on the bottle. on the thing about the VTEC conversion is there like stroker motors......you'll get maybe 80k out of it and then it's time to rebuild...HEEEEEELP!!.....
