Stock '92 Civic DX vs. Modded '00 Kia Sephia
And guess what happens?
I'm driving home from a nice dinner with the girlfriend. I'm on the road home, the road is clear except for this Kia with a fart muffler driving next to me. From about 30mph, he hits the gas and pulls away from me.
Now, I'm not one to street race but there's no way I'm letting a Kia show me up on a barren road:
I drop into 2nd and, with stock DX power I slowly inch the speedometer up to 55mph. I catch up to the dumbass and we're neck and neck and I'm still riding in 2nd nearing redline. I put it in 3rd and hit WOT. Three car lengths ahead of him in no time.
Turns out he lives about 10 apartments down from me. I asked him what's under the hood (while trying to keep a straight face) and he said I/H/E and a short shifter.
I calmly told him that with all the money he spent on that he could have gotten a busted up 88 Civic DX that could spank his little Kia. I don't think he liked it.
I know it's not much of a story and I probably wasted everybody's time with it. But man, I had a good laugh at the guy.
Who tunes a Kia? WTF?

I have to admit, i saw a rather bad-ass looking hyundai....accent. It had fake dual fart cans on it, and was put together rather nicely...LOOKED nice....sounded like crap, and went just as fast as it sounded.

My ex's ex had a 04 Tiburon GT V6. It was pretty friggin fast. I still don't think it was worth 24,000 dollars.
