have fun with the hosing lol looks like a mess but when I did my first turbo set up my hosing was all over the place too. Does the engine just run and sound ok? If the engine is in good condition should be easy to make it a decent car, if its blown or almost there forge it and make it an awesome car. Nice find

I didnt even see that I dont think that pipe coming out the driver side is even bent enough to make it to the intercooler now.. besides that pipping even looks a bit on the small size. what size turbo is it in there?

When you do mods right it costs more money. Sorry i don't want to get my car oversprayed all over and don't want Motegi rims. I just find it funny that someone who owns one of the most riced out cars on this forum says "a ricer owns it." Pot calling the kettle black?
I think the best part is you say he doesn't know how to build a car and then you say the intercooler was installed upside down. Intercoolers aren't directional and can be installed either way. And the way you just "installed" it looks ghetto as hell too.
And for the record my car doesn't even have an air freshener.

damn man, chill out. where did you come from, preludepower.com? this is how the mods act over there. if you LOOK at the intercooler, it actually is directional...hence the 2 different inlet and outlet pipes. one is angled, and one is not. yes it is a prelude intercooler and it is that way to fit in the prelude front bumper.

Garretts better they don't tend to blow seals as easy for some reason but turbonetics is still a great turbo. First thing to do is get a tial gate and make sure you get a 44mm one NOT the 38mm. With a turbo as big as a T3/T4 even in 57 trim will boost creep if you use a high flowing manifold on it, if you have a log manifold then a 38mm one will be ok but you might get a bit more of spool up time.
as for the intercooler thing intercoolers CAN be directional depending on the end tanks sometimes the end tanks are designed in a way that if you have it upside down your not taking full effect of the intercooler, it will still more but not as well as it should. Defenitely increase the pipping size, get a boost controller not so much to increase the boost but you help it spool better, I had a breddy profec II spec B and it took me about 2 weeks to firgure it all out but one I did it made a HUGE differance in response time and power just getting the gate tuned to not open before I wanted it to. It helps have more of a "snapping open" action instead of when you run off the wastegate it leaks open. Two grand might be a lit tight to fix it all up but with it spent in the right places you can do it. The only thing that suck about projects like these is this, its a hundred times easier to cut a corner then it is to fix a cut corner LoL.
Any info on the fuel pump or what size injectors he was running?
Oh yeah low the compression H22 is kinda on the high side with it's 10:1 for boost

Yeah, didn't they just come out with aftermarket pistons with a gold skirt or something? Supposed to be hella better.

I think if you go with any piston you HAVE to sleeve the block. Unless your going with type S pistons. But arias, JE, or any piston like that you have to sleeve. There is a brand out there saying you dont have to but as far as I know they are too new to have reviews yet.
