i have a newby question

i have a 96 civic, its the cx model which is a hatchback as well. what is it i should do to make it better. its mostly for my son, and i feel bad handing it down to him, he loves mustangs etc, but this is all i have for him. i own a small buisness trading different cars through wholesalers, and i recently came into an integra type r, first thought was restore it, well its gone, demolished. completely torn up, but most of the engine can be salvaged i think. they left the front cut of it with my shop in minn. anyway to transfer over parts?

be sure to pick up the shift linkage, tranny, wiring harness, axles, ecu. HAsport makes an engine mount kit for it to drop straight in.

Its all bolt in, The only thing you need to add is the rear motor mount, which comes on the motor anyway. Other than that, its all bolt in. That type-r is gonna rip in the hatch. Im sure he will be satisfied.

Werd. With proper traction, his new mindset will be "Mustangs suck."

well we had someone come by to check out the Type r and they bought the whole deal for 6200~ now i dont know what to do for him. i read around on a couple different sites, i can order a swap from online right? honda motors online has engines available. but what would i have to do to make something from a 95 integra run in a 98 civic? are there differences in wiring and so forth?

You'll want shift linkage, axles, tranny, uncut wiring harness, ECU, complete motor with sensors. I think that's everything, correct me if I missed something.

Conversion harness, get it here: http://www.rywire.com

This Civic will be nuts, and faster than any Mustang without crazy mods. Keep in mind that you might want to upgrade the brakes, wheels and suspension soon after. Not necessary but it will help keep you (or your son) a little safer and help to keep the power on the ground.

And even if you dont wanna go all out on a B series swap. Keep in mind the d15b. Cheap motor, and you dont need to change axles and linkage and stuff. I mean, it wont be as quick as the type r or gsr.. but it will be nicer than the cx motor it has.
