help! Wheel hop when turning
Hey all,
i need some help. i'm very stumped at this point and don't know what to do or who to turn to for some mechanic lookings... so here's the problem:
When i make a hard right turn, and throttle the gas, my car starts to "skip" or bounce around. i get some shudder up in the front of the car and lose speed / traction. When i make a left turn, there's no problem, even at full throttle. i just lost traction and get wheel spin.
i'm trying to figure out what the situation could be that it's hopping when i turn right, and not when i turn left.
I've come up with some possible issues that may help explain it, but i'd really like a 2nd - 100th opinion regarding this issue:
1. My left front wheel seems to be sticking out from the body more than the right wheel. If i measure, the left front tire sticks out about 2 mm past the fender. the right front tire sits within the fender.
2. I don't have a camber kit on my car, and i think i may have more + toe on the left front as compared to the left right tire. I took it in for an alignment, but they said that it was no problem and there wasn't any + toe. but i swear it looks like it.
3. i have an LSD (stock YS1 tranny), but i think it may be dead. possibly it's causing it to malfunction in only 1 direction? i dunno about this one.
i can't really think of anything else that could be causing this... anyone with knowledge, please help!! btw, my car is a '91 crx with a b81c. any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated... there are no bad ideas.
