Located in jacksonville is a Black 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse GS-T.
This car runs but does need mechanical attention. It needs head work. We 1st thought it was lifter tap which is notorious for the 95-99 lifters. The perminent fix for that is 00+ lifters. After replacing the lifter's the tapping sound in the head was still present. There may be an issue with the valve guides... really not sure and not wanting to put anymore money into the car.
The body is in good shape, a ding here or there no big or obvious dents in the body. It does need paint attention as well and a passenger side door handle.
This car can be driven away but it will be tapping and people will look at you crazy. I recommend towing it if anything.
Body has 254k on her, according to the dsm community there is no way the engine made it that far without a rebuild. I can't however say that the engine has been replaced or rebuilt, but it does have a solid bottomend and a good turbo and it's not loosing any oil that i know of, but since it isn't being driven anymore it's hard to say. But there was no oil consumption while it was running and driven.
A/C components are all there, but the belt is disconnected. Heat works fine.
