FS: 91 CRX Si w/ B16A LSD OBD1 - Tuner-Junction

I bought this car with 79,040 miles on it and the interior is very nice. No rips or tears. I also threw on a CTR shiftboot to match the red stitching of the Si seats. Looks clean and stock. I put the JDM B16A from an Integra XSi (HMotors) in at 83,520 miles. It now has 92xxx miles on the odometer.
The Whip Factory in Plainfield did the swap as well as the wiring. I also have a Progress suspension on the car and it handles exceptionally well to say the least. I am the third owner and have documentation of the previous owners matience on the vehicle. He kept the car perfectly stock and it was not until I owned the car that anything was changed.
THINGS TO NOTE: This car has working AC - the drivers fender and as well as some of the door are dented - never had any mechanical problems whatsoever - fully documented swap/modifications - car routinely gets 28mpg but I have gotten 36mpg - I've changed the oil every 6000 miles with Royal Purple 5w30 - Only use OEM parts on motor - Has never been in an accident. Wow!!! I always loved you car. Why are you selling it?? I'll talk to some people and see if I can get any leads. Plus when did you do that to the fender and light? That looks recent (compared to the other photos).

Last week some kid hit it in the parking lot at my school... Never found him. I really appreciate though. I don't want to sell it but it's hunted by the police in my town and I have 8 tickets

I'm kinda of upset about this one. I've always liked your car a lot!! and I have the money to buy it right now, but I have one entire CRX in pieces and a baby due within a month. I really hope one of two things for you.

1) You colme to your senses and keep it becasue it's a clean car in a great color
2) You find someone who will give it the care you have

For the past 8 months I've been waiting for you to drop a JDM front end on it, but I guess that's not gonna happen now

I really appreciate it man, I want to keep it, and I desperatly want that JDM front end... I've read you DIY 100 times and could recite it by heart haha. But it is just hunted and I get pulled over bi-weekly. I'm trying to figure out a way to file for police harrasment. If I do sell it I will be getting another Honda rest assured. And this definatly won't be the last CRX I own.

I don't understand.......why are you getting followed around? Is it the same police in the same town, is it the same cop? Are you actually breaking the law or just being followed? Your car looks clean, not riced out at all and I'm confused why they are following you.

I would seriously start keeping a log and doing the following....
stay super polite
copy down badge numbers (don't tell them you are)
ask very politely what the problem is and add lots of I'm sorrys.

Keep a log of this info and file a complaint and or get a lawyer. You should in know way have to sell a car because of the police!!

The other night there was a cop following me... I was in downtown Naperville (The LAST place anyone would do anything illegal) and at a stop light. I start to go but was on a little patch of ice. Then I gave it a little gas (maybe as high as 3500rpms) and it gripped the pavement and jerked. He pulled me over and I kindly asked "Officer, may I ask why I was pulled over" he replies "You launched your vehicle with the intention of racing that black truck [F150 Harley]" In response to that I say "haha, I don't mean to laugh but I didn't even realize he was there, I was just going to Culvers to get some food with my buddies after our lacrosse game" Then the guy get's really pissed off about something and says "Alright Anthony, I don't want to hear any of your bullshit. You're getting a ticket for Squealing your tires and you're lucky I don't arrest you right now" Knowing there wasn't much I could do now, I just sat back in disbelief... That's the story and that makes ticket number 11.

Filing complaints, and trying to fight the cops results in getting your balls busted worse. Believe me, I tried that idea about ten years ago.

Remember this: cops and judges are friends with cops and judges - they're NOT your friend. Those judges see those same cops day in and day out.. they see them on the golf course, and they see them at events, the cop knows about the judges wife, and asks about the judges family - you don't.

I want you to keep your car, so I'll give you some advice.. buy a beater for $500.00 and paint your CRX yourself. Keep it off the road for 6-8 months, and then bring it back in a different color. Then, when you do bring it back, don't do anything wrong at all.

I'm 30 years old.. I had my license taken away when I was 17 (not DUI, accumulation of tickers, like you). I also made a lot of money at the time, so I hired a lawyer to fight the system. Two years, and about $2,500 later I got my license back.

OK.....Since we're on this topic now and I like the idea of you keeping your car I'm gonna chime in.

First, Keep the damn car. I've had over 45 cars (yes Karen and I count) and I've regretted selling a lot of them. The CRX will NEVER go and neither should yours. Some people think they are ugly, some think they are slow, but NOBODY will ever deny the car has personality and besides the NSX there is no other car Honda has or had that comes close.

YOU WILL HATE YOURSELF FOR SELLING IT.

I did talk about documenting things with Police officers in your town, but the more I think about it Mixelplix is probably right, it's not gonna help do a damn thing.

I agree, buy a beater and keep your CRX. Keep it under wraps somewhere, don't paint it!! It's an original color only made 1 year on SIs only. Just leave it. Buy yourself a used left fender (doesn't matter the color), I think I have a left parking light you can have. Bolt those parts on the car. Take the rust in the rear quarter and cut it out, ALL of it. All the way to clean metal, then prep the area with a rust prohibitor. Once you know the fender is fixed, the light works, and the the rust is at least stopped then put the car away somewhere. $5K is not that much money, pretend like it got totaled and just put it away somewhere. Look at what I did, my car was away for 10 years!

Don't sell the car!!

I also agree with the others in the regard of you keeping the CRX. I have been watching this thread and have considered buying it, but I'm not in the best situation at this time.

Hide the car, it's the best option!!!!!!!!

Sorry to bring back a dead thread, but I can't believe pooch was gonna sell his car. look how much he loves it now! we used to race our slow ass D-series against eachother. Oh the times.... Thank god you kept your car pooch. I regret nothing more than having to sell mine.
