Damn Safari Van!!!

So I bought a Safari Van to sell to a family member. Not bad for a domestic, loaded AWD, blah blah blah.

Anyway, I take the thing to the car wash and the Mexican dude snaps my antenna mast off while trying to remove it. So now I have to buy a whole new mast and base. I go to install it today and I can't!!!! The damn wire that leads to the back of the radio is fished behind the dash in such a stupid way that it's impossible to get it out without taking the dash out!!! No shit, the Safari (Astro van) has such a tight dash layout and the antenna lead runs behind the air bag and HVAC system all the way at the base of the windshield!!! I even tried cutting it and then pulling it through. Unfortunately it's hung up on something.

I have come to the conclusion that working on domestics sucks!! I have wasted 2 hours trying to get this antenna installed and tomorrow I'm gonna start taking the dash out

haha, yeah those vans have a tight dash in them. I never could figure out why they are so popular, around here people put ground effects on them. I used to hate setting a lift up on a lowered astro van that had running boards, you couldn't get your head under it to see where the lift was gonna lift at. Lucky guess is what you hoped for lol
