Defi-Link Meter BF gauges
http://www.defi-shop.com/product/bf/bf_top.html
Has anyone tried these out or know someone who has? Would the wiring be any different than normal gauges? Just curious for the future. They look motherf*ckin hot.

i run Defi BF's....they are the most accurate guages u can get basically. they refresh themselves 12-13000 times a second (forgot the accurate figure...its in the manual)
electrical guages
u'll need to relay them from the ignition so they activate when u turn the key. bit of splicing of wires...blah blah blah.....not that hard but u gotta know what ur doin.

for serious. if u wunna do it one time. and one time only and be happy with it
then spend the extra money
even to an anal extent they use them in racing also due to their lightweight (when they get real finicky with weight.....dry carbon consoles etc)
its something u'll always be happy with.

I ran the DEFI VSD concept (HUD) guage in the NSX, I'm gonna get the same one in the CRX by next summer.

^How did you like it? My brothers old car(97 Grand Prix GTP) came with a HUD from the factory and I loved driving with it.
I've learned my lesson buying shitty parts, so I'm definately willing to spend the extra cash for a better product.

if ur really serious. if i didnt have this as a 'road' car. i'd definitely get the new defi console. it'll remove ur stick console cluster though.....either that or STACK. stack's awesome and have a great readout.
they are great for the money. unless u want to go full motech with full console display. one of my friends runs one (also a dental surgeon lol....funny how that is) and it is totally nuts.
EDIT: here we go. found it.
http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defi/p...c_feature.html
so awesome. seriously if my guage cluster goes. im definitely gunna cop this. its just way too porn with everything i need. no need for guages lol.
STACK is also very well known for their display. similar mix between analog and digital......everything is 'all in one'.

I was just reading about that in the new modified mag yesterday. Top Secret used the stack cluster in their new ITB'd VQ35 powered R32 .

yeah STACK was one of the original console replacements with multi-sensor display....hence its regular use in alot of jap cars......
i mean hell it took Defi this long cos i think they were killin it with guage sales.....and go figure. they are PROPER guages that also look the shit.........defi's console has more functions though (evidentally being newer and more exp than STACK) like the SD mem card feature and all sorts of other display/feature gadgetry
then again there's also that 'persona appeal' u guys know what i mean......think...'gangsta'peal'
if a product works 'goodenough' but it has that brand association (usually developed from car subcultures etc)....in which case STACK may not be superior....but alot more 'gangsta' lol even though it may be cheaper/inferior.
its like vertex widebody kits and shit......they have OEM fitment and what not but ppl tend to go for the more unique brands that have a better 'driver status' as vertex is more associated with alot of posers. so going origin lab/bn/work9 etc has more 'gangsta'peal' lol
