Getting the car ready for Spring
We're only a month away from Solo starting and I'm psyched!!
Mostly because I finally bought some parts to finish up my suspension...no more rolling and bobbing on my stock springs and dampers
What's everybody doing to get their car ready?
Here are the parts I've been collecting...

Yellows, Sports, a bushing extractor tool, stainless lines, and a new torque wrench!

Rear disc swap

The slips I got tail end of last year and ran them a couple times...love 'em
Now I just need to pick up a comptech sway/tie, urethane bushings and some good brake pads.
WoOT woOOT!
So what's everyone else doing?

I've been wanting to get into autox, do you run at Fedex field? Thats the only place I'm aware of around here that participates.
Things I'm doing soon are:
-Installing sway bars (finally)
-Taking out my sub and heavy ass box
-Waiting on bulletproof automotive to get bride FO seat rails in (recently bought a little BuddyClub goodness)
-Possibly spacers/extended studs

Fedex is the preferred location for me but I've also run at Ripken stadium in Aberdeen and Pharoe's truck stop up in PA. .. I think it's on 81.
Fedex has some great courses though because there's actually a little grade and different types of asphalt so you get more of a road course feel to it
I can't wait to get sways too ... most of what I already bought has just been sitting in my wishlist on TireRack for years. I think I"m going to get the comptech sway/tie from Modacar, they seem to have the best price with shipping.

If you remember scottigee post dates on here for events that are gonna be held at fedex, I'd appreciate it. Also do you have to be registered with the SCCA to run or can you just show up and go?

it's show & go! usually it's a few bucks more for non-scca members but I still haven't joined...it's only like $30 per auto-X
I'll definitely post up when there are races. The main one to check for fedex is DLB Racing Calendar
I check some other sites for other courses though so I'll post 'em up. It would be good to have some TJ representation

I'm def gonna have to get into auto-x. My buddies are getting all into snowboarding but that's $80 a day at least. And they want to go back to the mountain once a week.
$30 for auto-x sounds cheap in comparison. And i can put all my new suspension parts to the test.

I snowboard for $30/day at Whitetail ... it's worth about that much but at least I'm keeping my legs in shape.
Yeah dude see if you can make it to Fedex, otherwise maybe some of us can trek over to PA for an event or two.
I've even gone to AutoX's just to watch ... it rules

Well everyone knows what I'm doing. But in detail I ordered my 750cc injectors and Gator Stage II axles today. I also, spent hours measuring and re-measuring my 89mm crankshaft debating if I want to buy a new one.
