Duct Work

I had an idea awhile back about running a straight flow duct from like lets say a fender vent or something and have it aim straight towards the wheels. I figured more air cooling the brakes longer they last and better they work. Anyone got some ideas? Or can completly tear my idea to shit? O and if Duct isnt the word im looking for give me a break im sick as shit right now.

They actually sell kits for that. If you wanted to mock up ones of your own, you could always use the collapsable white duct work they make for dryers. I'm thinking mad ghettoish right now, but i that you could use the top of a plastic quart of oil, cut it off, cut the opening for the duct, and attach everything. If you have rectangular openings in your bumper you are good to go.

also, i forgot to mention you'd need to mock up a sheet metal piece to mount by the brakes, something that looks like this:

racecars use them, so they must do something... but you aren't driving a race car are you?

just because you have an auto doesn't mean you'll be braking more. you should really only be using engine braking on the track if your brake fade is so bad that not slowing down means going off the track. but will cooler brakes give you an advantage? yes.
