It seems like kind of a stupid move if you ask me. I mean if they wanted to turbo something it should've been the RSX in order to keep up with Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Dodge. The crowd that buys SUVs buys them mainly for their multi-purpose abilities, and they arent really going to care if their SUV is turboed or NA, they just want it to have good power. However I guess if you are looking at it from the standpoint of wanting more power with better fuel mileage this is a good thing. I dunno, I just want Honda/Acura to turbo a car!

i agree, i think they should have boosted a tuner car, but i would still consider dropping that engine in the hatchback after further review

yah i am also dissapointed they didnt put the turbo into something better, but hey its a start, at least there is a turbo. Now if they made the tsx awd-turbo, then we are talking business.

Dammit, the one time we miss the NY Auto Show ... I really wanted to see this live. Did anyone make it to that show or has anyone seen it yet?
I remember a picture of one of the concepts - it had hardwood floor-like paneling in the back - really strange.
It's definitely an interesting move for Acura. Given the engine choice, I guess they don't want to take too much of their MDX audience away. At the same time, a potential Acura customer that buys this lightweight 'truck' may already have a hang up with the idea of a 4 cylinder - I guess that's why they tc'd it to compensate. They're just so damn conservative with their engines in general that it's hard to compete with the ever-growing hp of other imports.
Now if they'd just put their SH-AWD in a TL I'd be happy.

Yes, we test drove new RL (unfortunately after we had purchased the TL) and it is awesome!!! Even though it's slower than the TL, that thing cornered like a bitch so it still felt pretty sporty. My only hangup with the RL is that it doesn't come in a 6 speed, but I guess you can't have everything! (Besides, the RL is too pimp for a manual I guess )

rl is also a lot more money than a tl, so a tl awd would i think own infiniti and may even venture into the bmw mercedes category.
