Need some help fast
This is hard to understand.....
I'm finally getting my REX put back together for my tuning apt with Jeff Evans. Today the last thing I had to do was mount my new Kamikaze header and that's it....I'm done.
Big problem....
I have a Omni test pipe currently on the car. This Omni pipe has a 2.5" flange on the rear, and a 60mm "spring flange" on the front. This was to mount to my JDM 4:1 header. Well, you can see where the issue is. My Kamikaze header has a 2.5" outlet!! It doesn't fit. Now I know I can get one custom made, however I have 3 days to do it, and the big problem I always run into is that most exhaust shops don't have the 2.5" spring flange.
Do any of you guys have suggestions??
Is they're maybe someone on-line who sells premade pipes (like the Omni test pipe I had)
Any help would be much appreciated.

In a pinch you could always have the flange cut off the header and have a 3" flange welded to that and then have it changed back when you find the pipe flange that will fit.

I am useing a omi test pipe on my ITR header but mine actually has the 2.5in flange. I also have a seperate 2.5 inch flange that can be wleded to whatever...like a catty or another test pipe or something.
I got my flange from www.inlinefour.com along with the test pipe, maybe you can rush an order to them and have one in time.
I'd offer you my test pipe but im still working up the money to have my flange wleded onto my catty....
Anyways, hope that helps you a bit...

Well, the test pipe I have was perfect for my JDM ITR 4:1 header. It lined up exactly. Now I 90% positive my JDM header was 60mm, so my test pipe must be 60mm. But now, my Kamikaze header is 2.5" and that's slightly larger than 60mm. The exact math is....
2.50" = 63.5mm
What I'm not sure about is Omni makes 2 different ones.... - JDM (must be 60mm, the one I have)
- USDM (they don't say what size)
I need to know what size is the USDM Omni pipe?? I can assume it's 2.5" but I need to know for sure. Here's another good question...... in the US what size outlet did the factory ITR header have.

about 57mm on the USDM one, which is a 2.25 inch flange. The factory ITR header has a 2.5 collector. I dont know its EXACT size in millimeters but the collector IS 2.5 inches
What i am thinking is you got the wrong sized test pipe. The flange on the test pipe may be 2.25 inches but the outlet is still 60mm.
Like i said before i have an ITR header on my B16 and the collector is 2.5inches. My catty is still stock so therefore its only a 2.25 flange so i ordered the Omni test pipe with the 2.5 flange to substitute that. They do make two different sizes i assure you, the webstie listed above sell both sizes.
But on a side note, the Omni test pipe with the 2.5inch flange has only been out for about 4-5 months...maybe you got it at a later time before they offerd it?

On what?? The Kamikaze header or the Omni test pipe?
IMO the header flange is a bit funky.

It looks easier to change the header flange rather then the testpipe flange because of the way the testpipe flange is on there.

Holy shit dude...thats not even a 2.5 inch collector, thats looks like a 2.25 collector...
so your header is where the problem lies...no so JMDish eh?
fine some headers from a D series motor and pair um up, bet you they will be exactly the same size
So it looks like your headers need to be modified....ouch...
