As I'm getting ready to fully detail my car, I am debating if i should apply some of the cleaner and wax products to the newly painted trunk, quarter panel and passenger door. I am doing the whole works, clay, paint cleaner, wax and so on. My question is can I apply clay and paint cleaner to the newly painted panels? I was thinking clay and paint clean what have not been painted, and when it's time to apply the klasse aio I was gonna apply it everywhere including the new paint. What do you guys think?

Do nothing but wash it. Thats it. If you want, you can apply hand glaze, but nothing abrasive other than a cutting compound or polish if you were to buff. (which is much easier to do on fresh paint than cured paint)

But to keep it simple, wait a few days after just being painted to wash, wait 60 days for wax. But you CAN apply a glaze. Technically you can wash it the day after its painted, but if there are any contaminents in the wash mitt or sponge, it will scratch it.

I go to the automatic laser carwashes. The touch less one. Aite, I won't do anything to the new paint.
