clay bar
hey everyone. i just went to autozone today to get the clay magic clay bar and clay lube kit (i was told it was better then miguiers). if youre paint looks kinda dull and not as lively, or if you have dirt imbedded in your finish, then this product WILL take care of all of that. it is absolutely amazing. it leaves a better finish then waxing. i have some bondo work on my car (i got the lude rot spots by the rear fenders) and theyre primered. well i got some overspray on part of the fender that filled. well, this clay bar even took off that overspray. i love it. and it lasts a really long time. i heard its not too good to do more then a few times a year. is that true? but yeah...i highly reccomend this product. just figured id let all of you kno.

Thanks for the heads up. Can this be purchased at Napa, or Schucks/Kragen, or even Car Quest?

Yes only a couple of times a year. It can dull your paint if you overdue it

Hmm. I've only used the meguiars bar. But I'll be sure to check it out.
PS. I wouldn't use clay bar more than twice a year. It's not even necessary to use it anymore than that. Just keep it well waxed.

you shouldn't re-clay your car agian in about 6~8 month.
and about 2 ~ 4 waxes in between.
you can think this stuff in comparison of paint-thinner to the car paint.
once or twice rub is fine, but after that, it starts to melt down the paint..

I used to clay the NSX once a year, works wonders. Everything I use on my cars is Zymol. The guy who owns / started Zymol is an NSX owner. He goes to every NSXPO and he has one of his employees come up with the Zymol trailer and we have a detailing day. It's pretty cool, it's a workshop on everything you possibly need to know for detailing and he supplies the products
