Unhappy Fuel pressure question?

I have a 98 gsr and recently installed a B & M fuel flow modifier and B & M fuel pressure gauge. Well i guess i should have installed the gauge first because i dont know what to set the fuel pressure at. I took the teg for a rip and now the car basically red lines when vtec is supposed to kick in I can clear the vtec malfunction code but it keeps returning now. Any help would be great.

I have seen idle fuel pressures of 30-42 on B series motors and when you blip the throttle it should raise further, i'm unsure of the fuel pressure under load, i'll look around for you though.

Sorry thats what the dude at hollerans called it. Its just a fuel pressure regulator that replaces half of your factory reg and makes it adjustable. I had the pressure set at about 40 at idle i dont see y that would cause a problem tho

it looks like this

yea i had one from aem. do you have a fuel pressure gauge? and yea its supposed to be set between 40-45 at idle. i had mine at 42. Maybe you need tunning since you added a fuel pump now you possibly have more gas than you need.

You shouldn't need tuning per say but you really do need to get the fuel pressure dialed in. consensus seems to be about 40-42 idle and about 50-52 at WOT.

the 40-42 is with a standard pump and all that stuff. check your solenoid and oil pressure. if you are getting a cut off at vtec you may wanna check that stuff too.

MAke sure when you were installing that, that you didn't accidentally unplug anything else.. all the vacuum lines are ran the same and all

This is the kind of thing that happens when the EACV is unplugged. around 4-5k rpm's it hits an early limiter. if it is bogging thats one thing, but if it's hitting a revlimiter, there is something non fuel related going on.. other than the ecu is cutting fuel. Check for proper connections and make sure your vacuum is ran properly.
