Well I was on my way to work, stopped at the gas station, left the car running and on my way out I noticed that it sounded like a deisel at idle. So I make it to work, pop the hood check the oil and other fluids. Everything seemed to be fine. So later that night I notice the engine noise getting louder almost like a knock sound but not like the normal rod knocking or tapping sound. So I go to cvs, leave cvs car is super louder, check engine light comes on, i limp the car home at 20 mph. Make it there oil and everything still fine no discoloration or weird smells, no smoke, no leaks no nothing. I restart the car sounds terrible eventially it dies. I tried to pull the cell using the ol paper clip trick but the engine light just stays on, no flashes. (yes i Know how to do it, done it thousands of times)
I think a rod bearing so I called the shop that did the motor swap about a year ago, and they said thats not right so I said if its still under warranty and they said yes it should be. They hang up saying they are going to check and if it is call me back n send a tow truck. Well no call back but they sent a tow truck. Now im like well maybe it is under warranty, I call them saturday and they say its not and i have to wait till monday till the manager gets there. They know they fucked up n towed it. I never said I wanted it towed or wanted them to fix it unless it was under warranty. I may keep it parked for a while n just do another swap myself or sell it for parts i ono yet or to someone who wants to fix it.
