have a read....this was a reply to someone's from a while back in the prelude forums
in terms of sway bars. there's not much difference between hollow and solid, its more so the diameter which determines the effect in terms of 'sway bar' stiffness
alot of swaybars are engineered for stock suspension as a minor 'upgrade' to level ur car
everything has an effect on everything in suspension
sure sway bars will improve the levelness of ur car under load, but it does so by raising the non-preferred side. too much and u start 3 wheeling.
so it really depends if ur gunna upgrade ur dampers/increase spring rates (i.e. aftermarket springs/dampers/coilovers etc)
if u were to do this i'd get the struts sorted first and then adjust the car from there
personally i hate adjusting thru stiffening sway bars. but my application may be different from yours.
its a fine balance and everything has a compromise
springrates too stiff and dampers to suit = too nervous under general road conditions and bumps
sway bars too stiff = 3 wheeling. but depends on front/rear sway bias.
tire pressures too hard = depends front or rear, understeer/oversteer respectively
TYPE of tyres. grippy enough?
it all comes into play before u even start with suspension settings. camber/castor/toe in/toe out/king pin angles/thrust angles
if ur adamant on keeping stock struts (although i have no idea why), then sure go for them. if u are gunna change them. i think u have alot to think about......
