Recommended drop for 2002 v6 4door with 18?

i am helping a friend drop his car and hes going to order springs soon, but we are not sure what will be a good drop? 1.5 or 2.0? for 2002 4dr v6 with 18 235/40/18 tires?

yea 1.5 if you want to be safe. im at about that and its too high for me. you can get away with it dropped about 2 inches, but when you start taking hills and steep driveways, yoll scrape shit especially an aftermarket exaust. i have to park on teh street or go up at an angle. eithe rthat or reverse up

1.5" drop.

if he gets coilovers he can drop it in the summers and jack it back up in the winters, but rochester is pretty hilly, much like the rest of upstate.
